This module provides a standard CDC-compliant HL7 interface for accepting and managing incoming laboratory results from labs and other lab information sources.

The incoming results can be imported via a manual upload and electronic data feed, via an HL7 interface that can be configured to automatically populate a new incident report and associate the data with an existiing incident in IDR. Additionally, the information provided with the laboratory result, including LOINC, SNOMED, or local lab test and result codes, is indexed and stored with the incident information. Graphical reference image of the report is stored for easy reference by nurse and disease investigators.
